the poem was really meaningful!
like its all about the strength of men..
and it aint about the physical strength, but more of appropriately using the simple gifts that God gave each one of us..
like a heart to love and a soul to show concern to everyone else..

i wanted to post about wat PAT dearest shared during cell last night,
emphasising on wat the tongue can do to a person..
not the physical way okie..
but like emotionally.
she mentioned that if anyone wanted to become mature believers, we must first learn to control our tongues. becos the way we handle our speeches reflect how we are doing spiritually. thus it is important to tame our tongues.
further emplanations..
1) our tongues determine where we go..
- our words shape us, and according to # JAMES 3:4, our words are like a rdder of a big ship, it can either steer us on course or off course..
and it also has an impact on others, cos if we keep insulting them, they'll take wat you say as true and start thinking of themselves that way..
2) our tongues can destroy wateva we have..
- like a fire under control, our words can provide others with warmth and light. but when out of control, it can wreck havoc and devastation to others.
gossip is the most dangerous, as it spreads like wild fire, destroying everything in its path..
# PROVERBS 12:25
3) our tongues displays who we are as a person.
- it reveals our character. # JAMES 3:9-12
* wateva that comes out from our tongue, is directly from our heart.
therefore, the problem is NOT your tongue, but your heart.
so no matter how you try to hide it, or deny it, it will still be revealed.
BUT! there's always a remedy..
to improve..
1) we need to GET A NEW HEART! ♥
- we need to consistently ask GOD to renew and change our hearts, and to be aware of ppl who need a new heart..
(this applies to everyone okie.. just bcos you alr ARE a christian, doesnt mean you have a pure heart. cos nobody is perfect!)
# EPHESIANS 4:21-25,29-32
2) ask GOD for help everyday..
- point to rmb.. we will NEVER have full control of our tongues, cos no one is perfect.
BUT! we know someone who IS! and that is GOD..
and we can work towards perfection with the help of GOD..
3) THINK before you SPEAK..
- one must put your mind in gear before you set your mouth in motion.
(in simpler words, consider wat you say, before you say it. so you dun hurt people unneccessarily.)

-> be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.
so therefore, i conclude, in lame man's language..
IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY, DUN SAY IT!
